Police Scotland Lochgilphead: police reports for week to 22nd July 2014

Theft
Between 1 September 2013 and 12 July 2014 an outboard engine was stolen from a hut at the Castle Sween Caravan Park, Achnamara. Police request that should anyone have any information to contact them on telephone number 101.

Theft
Between 18th and 21 July a quantity of fuel, trailer and a portable fuel tank was stolen from Furnace quarry. Police request that should anyone have any information to contact them on telephone number 101.

Assault
At 1.40am on 19 July a 45 yr old male was assaulted at The Avenue, Inveraray. He did not require any medical attention. A 33 yr old male has been arrested and is now the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

Possession of Knife
At 12.40pm on 19 July Police detected a 21yr old male being in possession of a knife near to Inveraray Golf course, Inveraray. He was arrested and held in custody pending his appearance at Court.

Drugs
At 2.45pm on 19 July a 31 yr old male was allegedly found to be in possession of cannabis at Main Street, Inveraray. He is now the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

At 1.55pm on 21 July a 35 yr old male was allegedly found to be in possession of cannabis at Barn Brae, Inveraray. He is now the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

Disturbance
At 4.45pm on 19 July a disturbance took place on Lochnell Street, Lochgilphead. Two males aged 22 and 24 yrs were subsequently traced and arrested for Breach of the Peace and allegedly being in possession of an offensive weapon. Both males are now the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

Attempted Theft of Motor Vehicle
Between 6pm on 19 July and 2pm on 20 July an attempt was made to steal a car while parked on Barmore Road, Tarbert. Police request that should anyone have any information to contact them on telephone number 101.

Theft of Cycle
Between 1am and 1.30 am on 20 July a pedal cycle was stolen from outside a house in Sinclair Drive, Lochgilphead. The cycle was traced by Police and a 19 yr old male is now the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

Drink Driving
At 5pm on 20 July Police were called to The Avenue, Inveraray following a report of a male driving a vehicle whilst under the influence of alcohol. A 34 yr old was traced and arrested and is now the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for several road traffic offences.
